John Visser

Dr. H. John Visser graduated from the Kent State School Of Podiatric Medicine and completed his f in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Lindell Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He is ABFAS and ABPM Certified.
Dr. Visser is a past-president of the St. Louis Podiatric Medical Society and the Missouri Podiatric Medical Association. He has also served as an examiner of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and was on the Missouri State Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Visser was the Director of Residency Training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center from 1985 until 2015. He then was appointed sole Director at SSM DePaul. The residency program is a PMSA-RRA certified by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education. He has trained over 100 Podiatric surgeons and he currently has 15 residents under his leadership role.
Dr. Visser has published texts including “Challenges in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery” and Cavus Foot Deformity Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He also has a Chapter, Evaluation and surgical management of the rheumatoid foot and ankle in “Translational Autoimmunity, Volume 6
Advances in Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases.”
