Leon Moskatel

Leon S. Moskatel, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Headache and Facial Pain in the Department of Neurology of the Stanford School of Medicine.

He obtained his Bachelor of the Arts from Columbia University cum laude and his medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego followed by a Headache Medicine fellowship at Stanford.

He has published 11 peer-reviewed publications in addition to 6 textbook chapters and other additional publications. His 2019 paper “Did UberX reduce ambulance volume?” received national attention and he received the American Headache Society’s 2020 “Frontiers in Headache Research” award. He has served as a reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine, Headache, Pain Medicine, and Nature Scientific Reports.
