Dr. Choate is currently an Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California and sees patients for Sutter Health. She was recently published as a contributing author in Watkins’ Manual of Foot and Ankle Medicine and Surgery. Her teaching interests include professionalism in medicine, practice readiness, and biomechanics.
Dr. Choate completed her doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California in 1990. Following graduation she went to Long Beach and completed her Podiatric Residency at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach. During residency, she also received my Master’s of Medical Education from CCPM. In 1992 she completed the Diabetic/Wound Care Fellowship at CCPM.
