Rebecca Burmeister, DPM, MPH, ABFAS

Dr. Burmeister is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes (MEND) at the University of Michigan Medical School. She attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate studies. She also completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Iowa in 2012, where she focused on community and behavioral health. Dr. Burmeister graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2016, earning her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). She completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in 2019. After residency, Dr. Burmeister completed a two year fellowship at the University of Michigan in limb preservation, wound care, and research.

Dr. Burmeister is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
